Last week, Year 1 took a fantastically educational (and hot!) trip to a Bio Farm in Pudong. Our current topic is called Exploring Nature and it was fascinating to see the children’s enthusiasm for learning about the process by which our food is grown and harvested on a site so close to the city center.
The children were quickly captivated by the beautiful setting where they were able to taste the sour Begonia flowers, the spicy Nasturtium leaves, learn about the minerals and fertiliser used to help the flowers grow and also the methods of protecting the crops without using pesticides.
