Year 11 have been working hard to deepen their knowledge on electricity and magnetism. They have been studying charged particles and how they give rise to magnetic fields which leads us into electric circuits and electric charge.
Year 12 have been doing very well and are getting to grips with the pace of AS Level Physics. We have covered motion, forces and moments and are now working on the topic of vectors. The topic of vectors is quite easy to relate to as we use examples from everyday life such as moving boxes, driving cars and satellites orbiting the earth. They have found this particularly interesting.
Now in their final year, year 13 are preparing for their A2 Levels. We have finished circular motion and gravitational fields and have now moved onto oscillations. All of these topics, which are important in and of themselves, lay the foundation for further study in university.
