The tenth issue of the Britannica School Mandarin magazine has once again garnered enthusiastic praise from both teachers and students alike.
With its unique charm, diverse content, and engaging childlike style, the magazine has become a beloved platform for students eager to integrate classroom learning with real-world experiences. The school magazine covers a wide range of topics and forms, making it an invaluable resource that strengthens students' connection to their native language while fostering creativity and expression outside the classroom.
Aspects of this issue were entirely edited, designed, and revised by the Secondary School students. This hands-on experience provided students an opportunity to not only learn the technical skills of layout and design but also to develop essential life skills such as teamwork and communication. Throughout the process of collaborating on drafts, students gained insights into the nuances of effective communication and how to work harmoniously with their peers.
In managing the manuscripts, students had to read each piece carefully, assess its quality, and make necessary revisions to enhance both readability and accuracy. This editorial process sharpened their word processing skills and fostered critical thinking. By identifying strengths and weaknesses in the language, students enhanced their ability to write with precision and clarity.
