The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission recently held their annual arts and culture competition. The theme of the competition was "Beautiful China, A Beautiful Life".
Study of the arts is an important part of the British curriculum, allowing students to individually interpret themes and ideas through various creative forms. Research suggests that studying art enriches students wider school experience, stimulates curiosity, creativity and inspiration, and allows children to express their individuality.
From a strong field of applications and talented young artists from international schools throughout the city, Britannica International students achieved exceptionally well.
16 of our students were awarded with 1st, 2ndand 3rdplace certificates in a range of categories. A special award was also given to our art teacher Ms. Lee with a commendation of ‘excellent organisation and guidance’.
