‘Speak, Shout, Share’ – The three words chanted in assembly this week and the theme for this year’s Safeguarding Awareness week. During assembly and across the week, we have spoken with the children about the importance of speaking up and sharing with a trusted adult if they are worried about something that is happening to them or someone else. Please do reinforce this message and encourage your child to speak out if they have a problem or worry.
Also, this week, Year 2 enjoyed a fun Kings and Queens Day as part of their Topic. The children looked fantastic in their fancy outfits and got straight into character during the medieval banquet. During the day they also enjoyed watching and taking part in some traditional dancing, making crowns, and learning all about the traditions of a royal banquet!
