Wildlife and Sustainability Week has been a great success. The week was filled with activities that taught children about the importance of looking after the world around us, including the children planting seeds and learning about the importance of waste watching. Today we held our popular annual Trashion Show where students from each class showcased handmade outfits made from waste materials. These outfits were creative and inspiring and a true example of collaborative craft!
We were also excited to receive some replies from our pen pals in Ecuador and Qatar this week. We found out about what their schools are like and enjoyed identifying on globes where the different children came from and what their favourite things are. Year 2 particularly enjoyed watching a video that the students in Ecuador had made about their country and the animals that live there. We have begun to write replies to them and look forward to sending these soon.
