We were absolutely thrilled to have parents join us for our Open House on Tuesday. At Britannica, we hold a strong belief in the power of parent collaboration as it plays a crucial role in shaping a comprehensive and enriching educational journey for our young learners. By actively engaging in events like Open House, parents have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how their children learn within our school environment. We hope that this experience provided you with valuable insights into your child's learning journey.
This week in class, the children were introduced to their class texts in preparation for next week's Storytelling Week, with the theme of Greek Myths and Legends. PreNursery and Nursery have explored the story of 'Arachne the Weaver,' while Reception delved into the tale of 'King Midas and the Golden Touch.'
Furthermore, the cold weather has had a curious influence on Nursery's learning journey this week. The children had the opportunity to investigate the ice they found outside, which introduced new words and concepts into their vocabulary. In Reception, the students developed their counting and problem-solving skills while helping King Midas count his golden coins.
Looking ahead, we are excited for next week when the children will continue to innovate and progress with their class stories. We are also eagerly anticipating the Chinese New Year performance, where Reception students will take to the stage for the first time, and we warmly welcome Reception parents to join us for this special occasion.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to the wonderful experiences and growth that lie ahead for our students.
