Learning a language has multiple benefits for young students, as it strengths the area of the brain which is responsible for memory, concentration and speech. It also allows students to gain skills which are applicable to all other subjects, as well as to improve their own language by understanding their grammar and increasing their vocabulary.
In Spanish this year, Secondary students have learned a wide range of topics and skills in order to form a good and strong foundation of the language. All students in year 6 to 10 have shown a very positive commitment and engagement to the lessons.
To congratulate them for their efforts and hard work this year, and to enhance their understanding of both the language and the culture, students of Spanish will have the opportunity to take part in a cultural trip next term, which will consist of a cinema session and a visit to a local restaurant-museum, where they will learn about some of the most famous and well-known Spanish artists, followed by a food tasting session. More details will be shared via email in due course.
