Ian was born in Zimbabwe and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied at the University of Cape Town, where he graduated on the Dean’s List with a B.A. in Environmental and Geographical Science and Atmospheric Science, and a B.A. Hons. in Environmental Management and Environmental Law.
Ian also trained formally as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher, which led him to Shanghai where he trained and managed foreign teachers across greater China. This experience enriched his ability to catering for second language students within the mainstream Science classroom at Britannica where he has been teaching for the past 6 years. In total, Ian has over 9 years of teaching experience.
Whilst at Britannica, Ian has taken on various roles including house co-ordinator and form tutor.
