Momoko was born in Japan, but spent many of her early years in the United States. Upon returning to Japan, she focused on reconnecting with her Japanese language and culture while teaching international students, helping them bridge the gap between their diverse backgrounds and Japanese culture. Since 2010, Momoko has been living in Shanghai, where she has diligently studied Chinese to achieve fluency. With a specialization in piano, she has worked as a music teacher, helping international students enhance their skills and boost their confidence in playing.

Momoko later transitioned to a homeroom teacher role, where she is recognized by her colleagues for her warmth and commitment to ensuring that every child feels valued in her classroom. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching methodology and has earned a TESOL 120-hour certificate.

At Britannica International School Shanghai, Momoko is a valuable addition to the team, bringing her respect for cultural and linguistic diversity and her internationally-minded approach to education. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of students and families, all striving to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
