BA (Hons) QTS, NPQML and NPQSL, ATCert

Suzanne was born in Devon, UK and has lived both in the UK and internationally throughout her childhood and adult life. She studied at Oxford Brookes University, where she earned a B Ed (hons) in Primary Teaching Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and taught in a private school in Oxford, as well as pursuing international positions in Tokyo, Japan and prestigious International Schools in Shanghai. Suzanne has over 20 years of teaching experience.

During her 8 years with Britannica International School Shanghai, Suzanne obtained her NPQML and NPQSL, has been appointed Year 1 and Year 2 Lead and class teacher, Maths Co-Ordinator and now currently in a senior leadership position of Deputy Head of Primary. Suzanne’s previous experience includes Phonics Co-Ordinator, Art Co-Ordinator and Curriculum Developer, Pastoral Lead, EAL Co-Ordinator, Key Stage 1 Co-Ordinator, SEN Co-Ordinator Assistant, Year 3 Lead within the Primary Leadership Team and has extensive experience working across Key Stage 2 as a class teacher and Head of Curriculum and Assessment. Suzanne also has additional aspects to her teaching career, previously a college lecturer in Wiltshire, UK for young adults and mature students studying GCSE, A-Level and NQT, gaining a wealth of experience across the educational field.

Throughout her career, Suzanne has aimed to implement a creative and innovative approach which is essential to encourage and nurture skills of original thinking amongst our learners. Suzanne promotes engendering the love of learning and working collaboratively with children in the pursuit of knowledge, creating safe, respectful and positive learning environments, so children can feel comfortable expressing ideas and experimenting with new concepts.
