This morning we waved off Nursery students on their first school trip at Britannica. Like the Reception students, Nursery have had the opportunity today to expand, broaden and develop their understanding of the topic ‘People who help us’ through an out of school experience, connecting them to the global world we live in. At Lilli Puts role-play center the students have had the chance to use their knowledge to pretend to be firemen, policemen, doctors, nurses and so much more. I hope all the Nursery students enjoyed their day and thank you to all the parents who came to support the trip and engage in their child’s learning.
Elsewhere in Early Years Reception and Pre-Nursery have been finishing their half termly topics on ‘Food and Me’. Pre-Nursery have been making connections to others through looking at their families and Reception have been looking at food wastage, linking their topic learning to the environment.
The Early Years team would like to wish you all a lovely November week holiday and look forward to seeing all the students back ready for an action-packed Winter half term. Please do keep your eyes peeled for key dates for Winter concerts and future events.
