As we come to the end of the first half term it is always a good time to reflect on what has been achieved. This first Autumn Term is an important one for all our EYFS students as they have been getting to know their teachers, peers and the school. It is wonderful to see how settled and mature our EYFS students are and how they have delved straight into their learning with enthusiasm.
For Pre-Nursery it has been making the brave leap into school life, learning what it means to be in school and being brave to separate from parents and having fun with friends in class. Nursery have come together collaboratively to create inspiring classes as their friendships have grown and learning has taken place. At the top end of EYFS it has been a pleasure to see the maturity of our Reception students as they demonstrate how to be role-models to the young students.
This half term we have seen learning through our many topics of ‘All about me’ and ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear’. As the holidays approach these topics come to an end and we hope all your children have enjoyed what they have learnt. During the National Holiday do keep your child’s inquisitive mind active with talking about what they are doing, sharing significant events with them and getting them to explore the world around them. Remember learning does not stop once you leave the classroom!
The whole EYFS team wish you a wonderful National Holiday and look forward to seeing you all on Monday, 7th October.
Happy Holidays
