On behalf of all the staff in Primary, I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. Judging by the excited and eager children that returned to school this week, the break gave everyone a well-deserved time to relax and recharge ready for the busy term ahead.
All classes will be starting to learn new topics and further consolidate previously taught areas of learning. You can find out more about what your child is learning by viewing the Curriculum Overview on the CANVAS Form Pages as well as reading the weekly emails from your child’s Form Teacher. It is important to us that you have a good understanding of what your child is learning, as well as how it is being taught, so that you can better support your child.
Taking this into consideration, we will be organising different workshops for parents about the children’s learning over the course of this term. Should there be a particular area that you are interested in finding out about, whether that be reading, writing, maths, routines, behaviour management, or anything else please send me an email at kmustoe@educator.orbital.education.
This term is also a time for us to prepare our children for their next stage in their learning journey; as they move towards the next year group. Information will be shared with parents soon about how we will support the transition to the next Phase; whether that be Reception students preparing to join Year 1 in Primary, or our Years 5 and 6 children preparing for Year 6 and Secondary.
We have had a successful and enjoyable first week of our Summer term and look forward to an inspiring and engaging term of learning.
