Even though the school week was limited we have still managed to continue with our planned activities. On Wednesday morning the PE Department held the first of our Inter House competitions. It was organised in two parts and tested the students mental and physical abilities. First off was Britannica's own A Question of Sport quiz. Each House had to supply different teams for the five picture rounds. This took place in the Theatre and as always, the students showed impressive subject knowledge. Next up was the physical challenge - capture the flag. This time every member of each house competed en masse to capture the flag from their opposing team. Fast feet and a turn of speed was needed on the front field where space was in short supply. Well done to everyone for their efforts in both competitions.
On Friday everyone wore jeans into school to raise awareness of the jeans 4 genes charity and genetic disorders. As global citizens of the future it is important that our students are aware of the many factors that affect us personally, nationally and globally. This followed on from last week's Assembly where Ms Tsang informed us all about the wide range of genetic disorders that can affect humanity. The results of both the House Competitions and how much was raised for charity will be communicated next week.
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
