Our week kicked off with students collaborating in their forms to design and construct their rafts for "Anything That Floats”. This project tested their engineering skills and teamwork as they worked together to build their own rafts.
Tuesday was filled with excitement and friendly competition during the project's grand finale—a thrilling race. We are delighted to announce that Year 9 emerged victorious for the second year running! Well done to all participants for their creativity and perseverance.
On Wednesday, students gathered to build intricate model kits, resulting in fully functioning models of boats, cars, the solar system, clocks, lamps, and more. This activity not only sparked their creativity but also honed their problem-solving and engineering skills. Watching students bring their models to life was truly inspiring.
Thursday was a highlight of the week as our Year 6 to 10 students visited the planetarium. The experience was nothing short of magical. Students were fascinated by the immersive displays and interactive exhibits, which deepened their understanding of our universe. This visit was both educational and awe-inspiring, leaving our students with a greater appreciation for the wonders of space.
We are immensely proud of our students for their engagement and enthusiasm throughout Science Week. Their passion for learning and willingness to explore new ideas have been remarkable. This week has truly showcased their talents and potential as future scientists and engineers.
