Excellence in early years education is not only about academic achievements but also about creating a safe and inclusive environment where each child feels valued and supported. At Britannica we embrace a holistic approach, catering to the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of every child. We understand the importance of play-based learning and provide opportunities for hands-on experiences that ignite imagination, promote creativity and build essential skills.
We have been very proud of how the children have settled back into their school routine this week. They have shown great enthusiasm as we began our new topic, 'Once Upon a Story.' This topic aims to ensure developments in English language skills while fostering a love for storytelling and literature.
In class this week, Pre-Nursery’s artistic talents have flourished as they expressed themselves and developed fine motor skills with vibrant brushstrokes whilst using watercolours. Nursery have been engaging in captivating building adventures with loose parts, unleashing their imaginations and honing their problem-solving skills. In Reception the children reviewed their letter sounds from last term and have applied their knowledge in writing CVC words and simple captions; the children were delighted to take their first reading books home today.
We believe that a strong partnership with our families is crucial. Your involvement and support play a vital role in the success of our Early Years. Together, we create a strong foundation for the children's future. We value your contribution and look forward to welcoming you into our school throughout the Spring Term.
